I think that I have a lot of ideas. They're not all good ideas. Some are downright ridiculous. Unfortunately, I have more ideas than time. This is why I made this blog. I don't plan on following up on any of these ideas, so I hope that maybe you will. Don't feel guilty about stealing my ideas. I want you to. As the number of independent cells increases, there must be more space to insulate them from each other, so the overall size of the battery would increase, but since battery sizes are standardized, it would only mean smaller capacity for the battery, thus defeating the purpose of trying to avoid battery memory effect.
I was only envisioning maybe four or five cells so they wouldn't need too much insulation. Also, laptop battery sizes are far from standardized, and this is where I figured this would be used the most.
