Better rechargable batteries

As the number of independent cells increases, there must be more space to insulate them from each other, so the overall size of the battery would increase, but since battery sizes are standardized, it would only mean smaller capacity for the battery, thus defeating the purpose of trying to avoid battery memory effect.

I was only envisioning maybe four or five cells so they wouldn't need too much insulation. Also, laptop battery sizes are far from standardized, and this is where I figured this would be used the most.
